The PC WORLD is trying to open the doors to the computer technology world, especially to the widespread area of personal computers, to Czech and Slovak readers. Additionally, readers may find information about another products, for example about Apple Macintosh computers: there is a special enclosure "Macworld" in each PC WORLD, which is dedicated to Apple computers. And last but not least, readers can find the articles both from international magazines or other IDG information sources and from experienced Czech and Slovaks authors.
Each issue is usually devoted to one topic from the information technology area, but trying to offer something familiar to all readers, the range of articles is not limited only to the topic. Each issue has got a number of serials, those contain practical advice how to use Windows, DOS, or for instance text processors, a spreadsheets and a databases. The Macworld magazine is a very well known to all users of Macintosh computers around the world, because its circulation moves around 1 million in 26 languages. Its name has become an "entire stone" for Czech Macworld magazine, which began to be issued in January 1994 as the enclosure of the PC WORLD magazine.
The most important point of each Macworld issue is a main story devoted to an event, which is shaking the IT world during a current month, and this event responds to the Month Topic in the PC WORLD. Then follow trend analyses and events registered in the "Mac world" and finally what should be mentioned are news, of course. Graphics users (e.g. Desk Top Publishing, multimedia, CAD applications), office products professionals or computer experts may enjoy articles inside the regular columns.
Briefly said, everyone who is at least interested in Macintosh computers (it does not matter whether he works with them every day of he has only heard about them) will find enough interesting articles in the Czech Macworld.
