Since then important progress has been made: today Computerworld is a color weekly and PC World added a Macworld supplement. The three publications have altogether received more than 60 000 readers until now. Since 1994 IDG Czechoslovakia has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the American IDG.
Publication activities are not the only basis of IDG Czechoslovakia's business. An important department that serves all of IDG's publications is TestCentrum, where IDG professionals test products distributed on the Czech market. The tests being made in the department and published in the IDG newspaper and magazines, help Czech and Slovak readers to orient themselves on the market easier.
The last (but not least) activity which could help the potential clients entering the Czech market is IDG's Marketing Department. The department provides services concerning advertising, marketing and public relations to its customers as well as organizing professional tradefairs and exhibitions.
IDG Communications is a global network of more than 275 publications in 75 countries. These periodicals cover 95 % of the worldwide computer market and are aimed at common computer users and computer professionals as well as purchase decision makers. All key information collected by IDG editorial staff around the world are shared through IDG News Service, IDG global IT information network.
These WWW pages of IDG Czechoslovakia are addressed especially to Czech users, so for more information in English about IDG you should visit IDG homepage in the U.S.A.
