IronFolder
IronFolder is a program
which helps you to handle data that you don't want to share with
anyone else. It works invisibly to restore your data when your
operating system boots, and ciphers all confidential files automatically
on shutdown of your operating system. IronFolder will encrypt
your files in selected folders when you shutdown your system,
and decrypt them when you start your computer. Your data is protected
with your account name and password. IronFolder is a user-friendly
program which contains the following features in order to provide
you with strong data protection:
- The proven ciphering IDEA8 algorithm with a 128
bit key provides top-level security which complies with the latest
international standards of cryptography.
- Contains ciphering algorithm BlowFish
- Multi-user support allows several users to independently
and simultaneously keep secret data on the same computer. One
of the users has special privileges - the Administrator.
- Every user has a database of pathnames, which
give the user access to his/her ciphered folders. These folders
contain the user's data files. The pathname database is password
protected.
- A built-in diagnostic feature which will notify
you should someone attempt to modify your IronFolder pathname
database.
- Special emergency tools (which are an Administrator
privilege) allow a corrupted pathname database to be restored.
- Easy of use. After installing and configuring
IronFolder the only thing it will require from you is to
specify a username/password combination at start-up.
IronFolder is compatible with Windows 95 and Windows NT operating systems.
