This section displays some detailed information about the selected device as displayed in DiskCheckup's "Device Info" window. Of note are the following values:
Last update
Time of last update of device information and SMART attributes.
Device ID
This is the physical ID of the device.
Device Capacity
The total capacity in MB of the ATA device.
Serial Number
The drive serial number.
Model Number
The drives model number.
Partitions
Displays all the volumes that reside on this device and their capacity in MB.
FirmWare Rev
The drives current firmware revision.
Cylinders
The amount of cylinders on the manufactured drive.
Heads
The amount of read/write heads on the manufactured drive.
Sectors per track
The number of sectors per track of the manufactured drive.
Cur Cyls
The current number of sectors on the drive.
Cur Heads
The current number of read/write heads on the drive.
Cur Sectors/Track
The current number of sectors per track on the drive.
Bytes per track
How many raw bytes of data on each track of the drive.
Bytes per sector
How many raw bytes of data on each sector of the drive.
Buffer Size
The size of the disk subsystems data buffer. This value isn't officially part of the ATA/ATAPI standard anymore but most drives still report it correctly.
