How should I decide whether to select ôAllowö or ôDenyö? |
![]() |
The first thing you should do is look at the information provided to you in the Alert: What Happened?, Risk Level, and Threat Type. This information will help you determine what is occurring. If you have the Pro version you may also click the ôLearn more about this threatö link to launch a web search on the actual threat name. This search can often provide a clear indication of whether a process is indeed malicious or is in fact harmless. It is probably okay to select "Allow" on an alert if you are working with a program you know and trust, and you have just asked it to perform a task for you. For instance, if you uninstall a program or receive an update on a trusted program, you may see an alert immediately after initiating these actions. In these cases itÆs usually fine to choose "Allow." However, if you have not initiated any action, or you are working with a program you do not fully trust, then you should choose "Deny." |

What does the ôRemember this answerö box do? |

When you check the "Remember this answer" box, Cyberhawk remembers to Allow or Deny the process accordingly, should it ever attempt to run again. You will not be prompted by an alert in the future on that same process if you have checked this box previously. You should check "Remember this answer" when allowing a process only when you are certain that the process is safe. However, you can always change your decision in these cases later by visiting the Threat Control Center of CyberhawkÆs control panel. |

What if I want to change my decision later on? |

There may be instances where you decide to always allow a particular action only to find that you later wish to disallow it, or vice versa. In these cases, simply visit the Threat Control Center in CyberhawkÆs control panel. From here you can easily undo any previous action by removing the appropriate item from the Allowed or Denied list. |
