Delete

This command is used to erase permanently text or graphics from a document. As such, it is similar to the Cut command, with the exception that the cut contents are not placed in the Clipboard's memory.

1. Select the text or graphics to be cleared.

2. From the Edit menu, select Clear.

You can also use a shortcut by using the DELETE key. (Refer to list of shortcuts).
