System Cleaner's File Associations Manager controls which programs open the current file associations and restores the previous snapshots, if required. To reach the Manager, use the Analyze & Compare button on the System Cleaner's left panel.
File Types
At the File Types screen you can see file types registered in your system (an extension is specified for each file type). The field Modified indicates if the file type's associated application was modified during the current File Associations Manager session. You can add and delete list items using the buttons under the list.
With the Create snapshot button you can save your current file types snapshot in a file on your hard disk so that you could restore the types and associations in the future.
Under the file types list you can also see the detailed description of the type currently selected in the list. Use the Details button to view the actions available for the file type (e.g. Open, Edit, etc.) and specify associated applications for each of the actions.
Snapshots
At the Snapshots screen you can select a previously saved file types snapshot file, compare it with the current state of your system (all differences will be shown in the list at once) and restore this snapshot to your system, if it better suits your needs.
