E-mail protection is enabled by default. You can pause or disable Mail Anti-Virus completely or for a certain length of time.
To pause Mail Anti-Virus,
select
Mail Anti-Virus in the Protection section of the main window and click
the status field.
The component status will change to paused. E-mail protection from dangerous objects will be paused until you restart the program or enable the component using the

The differences between the options listed above for disabling E-mail Anti-Virus consist of the following:
- when you pause protection (the
button), the component is not emptied from the memory, and the component statistics for the current Active Virus Shield session are saved and continue to be determined after the component is updated;
- when you stop protection (the
button), the component is emptied from the memory, all the statistics from previous work are cleared and when E-mail Anti-Virus is started the statistics start over.

- Open the Active Virus Shield settings window by clicking Settings in the main program window.
- Select
Mail Anti-Virus in the settings tree.
