How to scan critical areas of your computer
|
Certain areas on your computer are critical from a security perspective. These are the targets of malicious programs aimed at damaging the operating system, processor, or memory. It is therefore extremely important to secure such critical areas. Active Virus Shield ships with a default virus scan task to address this issue. This task is located in the program's main window in the Virus scan section.
After selecting the Critical areas task, you will be able to view the statistics for the most recent scan in these areas. You can also see, in the right-hand part of the main window and the settings window, what level of protection was selected and what actions were taken to resolve these security threats. You can also select which critical areas you want to scan and then immediately start a virus scan process.
To scan, click the Scan button. As the scan progresses, the details will be shown in a special window. You can hide the scan information window. To do so, simply close it. This will not stop the scan.
