Working with quarantined objects
|
The total number of objects placed in the quarantine is displayed in the
Data files in the
Service. In the right-hand part of the screen there is a special
Quarantine section that displays:
- the number of potentially infected objects detected during Active Virus Shield operation;
- the current size of the repository.
You can delete all objects in the quarantine with the Clean up... button.
In order to work with objects in quarantine,
left-click in any part of the Quarantine section.
You can take the following actions on the quarantine tab:
- Move a file to quarantine that you suspect of being infected by the program did not detect. To do so, click Add and in the standard selection window select the
file you need. It will be able to a list with the status moved by user.
- Scan and disinfect all potentially infected objects in the quarantine using the current threat signatures. To do so, click Scan all.
By scanning and disinfecting any quarantined object, its status can change to infected, potentially infected, false positive, not infected, etc.
The status infected means that the object has been identified as infected but it could not be treated. We recommend that you delete such objects.
All objects with the status false positive can be restored without worries, since their former status as potentially infected was not confirmed by the program after being scanned again.
-
To restore an object, select it from a list and click Restore. When restoring objects placed in quarantine from archives, mail databases, and mail format files, you must specify the directory to which they will be restored.
 |
Tip:
We recommend that you only restore objects with a false positive status and not infected or disinfected, since restoring other objects could lead to infecting your computer.
|
- Delete any quarantined object or group of selected objects. Only delete objects that cannot be disinfected. In order to delete the objects, select them in the list and click Delete.
