Setting up the schedule
|
If scheduled updating is selected as the updating mode, by default updating occurs every day. If this schedule is inconvenient for you, you can change it in the
Schedule dialog box.
You should first define the frequency for updating. The following options are available:
Once.
The task will run once on the day and at the time that you specify.
Minutely. The program is updated on the number of minutes than you enter. The maximum is 59.
Hourly. The updating frequency is counted in hours. If you choose this option, in the schedule settings select
Every Nth hour and specify the value of
N. For example, to download updates every hour, select
Every 1 hour.
Daily. The application is updated once in several days. In the schedule settings, select the following options:
- Every day - if you want to run daily updates
- Every Nth day and specify the value of N if you want to have an interval of several days between updating sessions. Thus, to start updating every two days, enter Every 2 days.
- Every business day if you want to update the program Monday through Friday.
- Every weekend to run updating only on Saturdays and Sundays.
In addition to the frequency, specify the start time in the Time field.
Weekly. The application is updated on certain days of the week. If this option is selected, in the schedule settings mark the days of the week when you need the application to download updates. Also specify the start time in the
Time field.
Monthly. The scan task will run once per month at the specified time.
If an update is skipped for any reason (for example, the computer was not on at that time), you can configure the task that was missed to start automatically as soon as it can. To do so, check
Run missed task in the schedule window.
