Support features of the program |
In order to always be on guard for any hacker attack, or detect and delete a virus, Active Virus Shield updates in real time. The Updates component is designed for this, and is responsible for updating the threat signatures and program modules of Active Virus Shield.
When using the program, each security component, virus search task, and program update creates a report, which contains information on completed operations and their results. By using the Reports feature, you will always stay up to date on the operation of any Active Virus Shield component. Should problems arise, you can send the reports to our support staff so that specialists can study the situation in greater depth and help you as quickly as possible.
Active Virus Shield sends all files that are potentially dangerous, to a special Quarantine storage. They are stored there in an encrypted form so that they cannot infect the computer. You can scan this storage for viruses, restore files to their previous locations, delete them, or add files on your own to the quarantine.
Files that are not infected are automatically restored to their former locations.
The Backup storage holds copies of files disinfected and deleted by Active Virus Shield. These copies are created in case it is necessary to restore the files. The backup copies of the files are also stored in an encrypted form to avoid further infections.
You can restore a file from the backup copy to the original location and delete the copy.
All registered Active Virus Shield users can take advantage of our technical support service. Under the Support section in the product, you will also find a list of frequently asked questions, which may help you solve your problem. You will also be able to access the online support center, and report bugs or provide feedback via e-mail.
