Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I have many files to convert. How can I import them simultaneous? It means I want to import many files by one time.
A: You'd better put all your files into one folder and open it with our software. Multi-selection is available by pressing "CTRL" key and highlight them at same time.
Q: Why cannot I import my FLAC files?
A: To import your FLAC files, please set "Files of type" from default setting (Supported Files) to "All files", then you can see your FLAC files in the folder and import them.
Q:How to create the m4a files?
A: To create the m4a files, please select "FAAC DLL Encoder" in the "Encoder" combo-box, then click the adjacent "Settings..." button and select "MPEG4 (*.m4a)" in the "Output AAC File Format" combo-box.
Q: I want to encode the music from an AVI file, but I get a noisy result. What should I do?
A: Different AVI files may contain different codecs, compressing methods, such as mjpeg codec, which would not provide a good quality. Our another product ImTOO MPEG Encoder can detect the codec of the file and convert it from one codec to another, such as to mpeg4, with better quality.
Q: My files are from iTunes. I can not open it with ImTOO Audio Encoder. I get an error message: "Can not open input file". What should I do?
A: The M4P files from iTunes are protected, you need to convert them to the M4A format with other software like iOpener, then our software can read them. Or you also can use the HYMN (http://hymn-project.org) to remove the encryption from the .m4p file.
Q: I have some WMA files purchased from Napster. But I get an error message "Protected files can not be decoded without license" and the conversion fails. Why?
A: WMA files from Napster are under the protection of license, which only permit playing the file on one PC. So you can not convert them to other formats.
