ATV2000
ATV2000 is freeware TV viewing application for Microsoftá
Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 and XP operating systems. It can be used for capture
video too. Both old Video for Windows (VfW) and DirectShow (with WDM drivers)
interface are supported. It is recommended to use it in conjuction with ARC2000
Remote control with sheduler and AFM2000 - radio application.
ATV2000 is separated to parts, which are commonly (but not required) dependent
on each other. The separation has advantage in greater stability and better
peformance.
Control panel - this is heart of the whole application, it controls
tunning, video source, audio switching and more. It can run alone or with
any other application with some extra features not provided by ATV2000 (PowerVCR
for capture MPEG video etc.)
WDM Capture - is used for viewing and capture video with DirectShow
interface. You need WDM drivers for this to work and Windows 98SE or later.
It is recommended to use this interface due to more functions implemented
and greater stability of program and computer (it runs completly in 32-bit
environment).
VfW Capture - is used for viewing and capture video with old Video
for Windows interface. This interface was introduced in Windows 3.11 and
uses 16-bits drivers on Windows 9x too, so i don't recommend it. In Windows
2000 is supported with VfWWDM mapper, which converts VfW calls to DirectShow,
but don't have support for overlay video (However Hauppage has own Win2k
drivers that works on VfW directly, it is good, but "blind branch" in developement).
Player - the player with external subtitles support
Capture panel - is used for displaying of capture information - format,
time captured, frames dropped and captured, CPU usage and more. It is used
by WDM and VfW Capture and Player.
