Task Manager

Return to Introduction  Previous page Next page

MemOptimizer inlcudes a build-in Task Manager. It shows all the programs currently running on your computer, along with how much memory they consume.

Task Manager Functions

Terminate: Sometimes one of your programs may get stuck, become unstable, or otherwise become unreliable. In this situation, you may want to stop the program before it hurts your other programs or causes your computer to become unstable. The "Terminate" button lets you do this. When you click it, it will stop whichever program you have selected in the list, even if this program is frozen or otherwise broken.

Quick Kill: Quick Kill terminates the application instantly, without waiting for the program to close by itself.

Start New... : Lets you start a new program.

Process Priorities

Changing the priority of a process can make it run faster or slower (depending on whether you raise or lower the priority), but it can also adversely affect the performance of other processes.

NOTE: Real-time Priority is reserved for system processes and you should never need to use it on other processes.
