Deep RAM Recovery

Return to Introduction

MemTurbo 2 provides the most complete memory recovery possible: the deep recovery scrub, which recovers as much RAM as possible using multiple passes of a proprietary technology devised just for this purpose.

When you invoke "Scrub RAM" from the main window you will be presented with a display that show's MemTurbo's progress during the deep recovery. Each pass will be represented by a new color in the graph, and each subsequent pass will take less time than the previous one.

You may click "Stop" at any time to end the recovery process. You may also check the "Stop after this pass completes" box to have MemTurbo finish the current pass before stopping. You may also allow it to run to its completion: MemTurbo will stop running passes when it fails to find a significant amount of new RAM on that pass.

The deep recovery will clear all virtual memory pages that are not critical to system operation. Because it flushes all caches you may notice your system is initially very busy as you use it after a scrub because it must page all information back in fresh from disk.

A scrub is best performed as you get up to leave your machine, such as at the end of the day or when heading out for a break.
