With
AceFTP you can use Microsoft Internet Explorer as your
browser to view graphics or HTML documents. For reasons of compatibility,
make sure you have installed on your computer the browser Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher.
To
use the internal browser in local mode, click on View Internal Viewer
from the Options Menu in the tool bar. The internal viewer option
is grayed out if you do not have Internet Explorer installed. Next,
from the local files window (left window), use your mouse or pointer
to select the file you wish to view. You can choose a graphic file
with a .gif or .jpg extension, or a text file with an
.html or .txt extension. Please note that selecting several
files does not work, i.e. only the first file selected will be displayed
in the browser.
Using
the internal viewer in host mode differs slightly from using it in local
mode. To use the internal viewer in host mode, click on View
Internal Viewer from the Options Menu in the tool bar. The internal
viewer option is grayed out if you do not have Internet Explorer installed.
Next, from the host files window (right window), use your mouse or pointer
to select the file you wish to view. You can choose a graphic file
with a .gif or .jpg extension, or a text file with an
.html or .txt extension. When connected to a server, it's
normal that the viewer is slower than when using local mode. The
viewer's speed to display a file varies, depending on the type of Internet
connection you are using. Please note that selecting several files
does not work, i.e. only the first file selected will be displayed
in the browser.
