ExcelFIX 5

In addition to the features in previous versions, the new ExcelFIX 5 includes:

  • New corruption types are now recovered: Files that in some instances could not be restored are now recovered.
  • Recovery of comments: Comments attached to cells are now restored.
  • Recovery of merged cells: Cells merged together as a unique cell are now recovered.
  • Recovery of outlines: Data that allows hiding sets of rows or columns in order to have a hierarchical view of the information in the original file is now recovered.
  • New user interface: The interface has been updated to incorporate the new Cimaware Software corporate image.
ExcelFIX 4

Excelfix 4 incorporated the following major features and additions:

  • Entirely new recovery engine.
  • New user interface and design.
  • New and improved lost string corruption recovery wizard that is also easier to use.
  • New file editor included that allows you to perform advanced editing actions before saving the file.
  • Now pictures - Bitmaps and other embedded objects - are recovered.
  • Now charts - As a whole page or embedded into the sheets - are recovered.
  • Now external link formulas - References to sheets placed outside the file - are recovered more completely and efficiently.
  • Now 3D link formulas - References to 3D ranges (multi-sheet wide ranges) - are recovered.
  • Now deleted data links - Deleted reference values such as =#íREF!B3 - are recovered.
  • Now names - Labelled references - are recovered.
  • Now hyperlinks - html hyperlinks - are recovered.
  • Now printer settings and page breaks are recovered.
  • Now zoom - Zoom factor viewing each sheet - is recovered.
  • Now large texts - Full recovery of all texts (even if they are longer than 255 characters) - are recovered.
  • Now the exact cell style - Column width & height, border style, pattern, etc. exactly as the original - is recovered.
  • An enhanced formula recovery has been added.
