Most of the time, all you have to do is insert a CD into your CD ROM drive, and QCD will load it into the Playlist and start to play the first track.
If the CD does not play automatically, you may need to check your Preferences settings.
To set QCD to play CDs automatically upon playback:
Bring up the QCD Preferences (Ctrl+P or use the menu button at the top left of the base skin).
Go to the Plug-ins->Input Preferences page.
Select the CD Audio Plug-in and click the Configure button.
In the CD Settings tab, check Add tracks to playlist and then check Play Added Tracks.
To manually load a CD into the Playlist:
Using the menu button (at the top left of the base skin), choose Playlist -> CD ROMs. You should see the name of the CD at the top of the menu. Select it to load the CD into the Playlist, and click the Play button to start playback.
or
Click the Add button in the Playlist area, and choose Load CD. You should see the name of the CD at the top of the menu. Select it to load the CD into the Playlist, and click the Play button to start playback.
For more information about loading a CD into the playlist, including combining the CD's tracks with those from other CD's or music files, see Using the Playlist.
