1. Main points:

- AVCutty is "Donationware". So I ask you for sending a little
  amount, to assist the development of AVCutty.

- AVCutty is able to find scenes in AVI-files automatically.
- It scans through the AVI-files and detects scene changes.
- It copies each scene into a new, single AVI-file.
- "Mini-Editing-System" (it is possible to save the defined scenes
  in a given order into one AVI-file)
- The process is lossless.
- For the best results, each frame of the AVI-file sould be a
  keyframe
- Generating a HTML index of the defined scenes or the AVIs in
  a directory including thumbnails
- Some tool funktions...

2. How much does AVCutty cost?

AVCutty is based on the principle of donation. It is 'Donationware'.
This means, that if you use this software, you have to send a small
amount to the developer of this software (that's me:-). It is your
part to decide, how much you will send.

You can send me a donation by cash (a common practice is approx.
10 Euro).

If you prefer to send me your donation per bank transfer, please send
an email to me. I will send you an email with my bank account.

The development development and support takes a lot of time. And
you will save a lot of time, if you use AVCutty. So I think, a
small charge is warrantable. For my own, private needs, AVCutty is
more than sufficient. Such a donation would push my motivation to
continue the development of further versions with new features. I
would use your donation to buy the hard-/software I need for the
developing of AVCutty.

If you send me a donation, you will get a key, which disables the
"Reminder"-Dialog. Futher, you will get support if you have a
problem with AVCutty.

Please don't forget your name, your address and your eMail address.
I need this information to see if you are a registered user, when
you send me a question. I won't give the information to anybody
else. And I won't send advertising mails to you.

And if you want to do something special, write your data onto a
picture postcard instead of a white paper. This would be very
nice. :-)

3. License:

You will find the whole license in the file "lizenz.txt".
(only in german for now, sorry)

The main terms are:

 AVCutty is "donationware".

 Even if you are free to copy the program for private purposes, it
 is not allowed to

   - Make changes to the executable and distribute it
   - Disassemble / decompile the executable
   - Spread it together with other programs on CD-ROM, web sites or
     any other media without my permission. It is allowed to make
     links directly to my homepage.
   - Change the files of this distribution or the distribution
     itself.
