Adding a new contact

A contact is made up of a name, number and in certain cases a group type. You can add new contacts to SIM Contacts, Phone Contacts and Local Contacts.

To add a new contact

1. Select the folder where you wish to add the contact. If you select the Phone Contacts folder, the new contact will be saved in the phone memory.

2. Click the Contacts menu and then click New Contact, or click New Contact on the toolbar.

3. Enter the contact information in the fields provided.

Note: Each field has a limit on the amount of characters you can enter, this is indicated by the Characters Remaining.

4. Click OK.

To add a new contact (Ericsson Phones)

1. Select the folder where you wish to add the contact. If you select the Phone Contacts folder, the new contact will be saved in the phone memory.

2. Click the Contacts menu and then click New Contact, or click New Contact on the toolbar.

3. Enter the contact information in the fields provided.

4. Contacts stored in the Phone Contacts folder can have more than one phone numbers, for example home, office, and mobile numbers. The group types available are:

• Home (default)
• Work
• Mobile
• Fax
• Other

5. Click OK

Advanced

The advanced option allows you to:

• Select the index on the SIM card or the index in the phone's memory where you want to store the new contact. Only the free indices are displayed.
• Add the same contact to a number of different locations e.g. you could add the new contact to your SIM card (SIM Contacts), phone memory (Phone Contacts)and your computer memory (Local Contacts).
