Tiny Personal Firewall (TPF) is a powerful utility designed to protect home cable and DSL connections as well as corporate network environments. TPF provides multilayer security protection in controlling which applications are allowed to transmit and receive data, MD5 Signature Support to ensure that Trojan horse applications cannot communicate, stateful filtering based on SRC/DST IP address, port and application to determine if incoming packets were requested, remote access to logs and statistics, and intrusion detection. 
The latest version combines stateful inspection firewall, a Signature based intrusion detection engine, and active sandbox protection against all new and unknown viruses, worms, and Trojans. With sandboxing technology you can create a closed environment (sandbox) around any application, known or unknown, and restrict its access to your computer's resources.
