Audio Visual Warnings
Prefer a warning that will tell the world that your computer is being hacked? Well, it isn't quite as loud as that, but it will be enough to attract attention to itself.
SecureIt Pro can play a sound, flash the background, or sound beeps when it detects an incorrect password attempt. To enable audio warnings, check the Enable Audio Warning checkbox. To enable visual warnings, check the Enable Visual Warning checkbox. To display the individual settings screens for the audio and visual warnings, click the Show Audio or Show Visual buttons respectively.
Play Sound | Plays the specified sound file when an incorrrect password attempt has been detected. Enter the path to the sound file in the Filename field. To select a file from a list, click the Browse... button. To test the selected sound file, click the Test button. |
Beep | Plays a system beep a specified number of times, waiting a predetermined interval between each beep. Enter the number of times to beep in the first field, and the pause between each beep in the second. |
Flash Background | Flashes the SecureIt Pro
locked-screen background when an incorrect password attempt has been
detected. Left-click the colored boxes to select colors to alternate.
Enter the number of times to alternate the background colors in the
first field, and enter the pause between each alternation in the second.
If an even number is entered for the number of flashes, SecureIt Pro's locked background (the screen background shown while SecureIt Pro is locked) will show the second color upon completion of the Flash Background sequence. If an odd number is entered, the locked background will show the first color. Your original locked background is not restored. |
