Size Controller

Purpose: Modifies the file's size in bytes. In this way, you can add extra information in a file or remove unwanted bytes. To view the current length of the file, select Anatomy from Hackman's File menu.

Current Size: shows the current file size using the selected mode. (see below)
New Size: enter the amount of bytes which will represent the new size of the file. The size of the file may be smaller, greater or equal to the existing.

Settings

Mode: configures the numbering system as supported by Hackman.
Automatically add the header information: adds 512 bytes to the desired size to ensure header information.
Warn if exists hazard for data: checks to see if the entered combination will limit the file size in a way that could result in data loss.


Note: There is a security option in Configurations|Appearance|Warnings regarding the data loss possibility. Unchecking this option, will allow you to enter whatever you want without any control.
