Directory managers can easily modify the contents of the LDAP databases. Cygsoft LDAP Browser displays the LDAP directory information in a tree structure. On clicking an object, the attributes and its corresponding values are displayed in a tabular form. With the Cygsoft LDAP Browser you can access the data within seconds, thus saving your time and increasing productivity. ---------------------------- PART 2: SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: ---------------------------- OPERATING SYSTEMS SUPPORTED: ---------------------------- Windows95, Windows98, Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows 2000. Prerequisites - Service pack 6 is required on NT. Refresh Node ------------------------------------- PART 5: KNOWN ISSUES IN THIS RELEASE: ------------------------------------- - Two nodes with same value are shown, if you drag & drop one node to another object and then expand the object with show next Navigation button on the toolbar. - If you enter a space in the Base DN field while creating the profile "Invalid Base DN" error is prompted while browsing the data. To fix, edit the profile and remove all blank spaces in the Base DN. - If the attribute value is non-printable character(s), some junk value is displayed. - Fetch DN's Does not work for NDS. - No Undo Operation is supported. - The Container Object cannot be cut, copy or paste. - LDIF Import is only possible with LDIF files, which have been exported using Cygsoft LDAp Browser 2.0. - When data exceeds 15 levels, there might be some unexpected results. - Modification and Deletion of the object class and attributes in Schema Is not supported. - In NDS while creating some objects Naming violation error may be displayed. This problem occurs for the Object Classes having no mandatory attributes or one of the attribute in the optional attributes is a Naming attribute and is required while creating the object e.g locality, alias This problem can be overcome by creating object using xml template and making naming attribute the first Field of the template. - When the Authentication Fails to NDS Server, The server returns the error message as "Other Error". - Only 6 types of Attribute Syntax are supported while creating attributes from Schema Manager. ( CaseIgnoreString , Binary , Telephone Numbers , CaseExactString, DistinguishName and Integer) - The ADS and Exchange Server are supported to a limited extend. Only 5 types of object can be created in ADS server. Create object is not supported in Exchange Server. - In ADS User object can not be added with Object ->add ->user you can add user object by clicking Object-> Create Object... - Cygsoft LDAP Browser might terminate abruptly when you try to add user in the Base DN immediately after logon.
