Introduction
============


	FileCrytor is an encryption/decryption program that allows you to
	encrypt the contents of files so that it becomes unreadable/useless
	to other programs or users. Also, you will be able to restore the
	original file contents by decrypting the encrypted file.


Software Requirements
=====================


	FileCryptor 1.0 requires Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT 3.51 or newer,
	or Windows 2000 Professional.


Instructions to use
===================


	Logging into the program

		In order to use the program features, you will have to login
		by either clicking the 'Login' button or choose 'Login' under
		'User Options' of the menu. Upon selecting it, you will be prompted
		for the password.

		If this is your first login, the default password is "abc123". You
		should later change this password so that other users will not be
		able to login using the default password.


	Encrypting files

		Click the 'Encrypt File' button or choose 'Encrypt File' under
		'Encryption' of the menu. You will then be able to select one or
		more files for encryption.


	Decrypting files

		Click the 'Decrypt File' button or choose 'Decrypt File' under
		'Decryption' of the menu. You will then be able to select one or
		more files for decryption.
		

	Encrypting folder

		Click the 'Encrypt Folder' button or choose 'Encrypt Folder' under
		'Encryption' of the menu. You will be able to choose the folder to
		encrypt. This means that all files in the folder will be encrypted,
		including the files in sub folders.


	Decrypting folder

		Click the 'Decrypt Folder' button or choose 'Decrypt Folder' under
		'Decryption' of the menu. You will be able to choose the folder to
		decrypt. This means that all files in the folder will be decrypted,
		including the files in sub folders.


	Changing of password

		Click the 'Change Password' button or choose 'Change Password' under
		'User Options' of the menu. You will be prompted to enter the current
		and new passwords. The length of your password will have to be at least
		4 characters long and not exceeding 8 characters.
