"Text Block Format" Section

This section describes global properties of text assigned to the the object: alignment, margins and text background color.

VAlign

Specifies the vertical alignment type of the text in relation to the text box of the object. The number in the field corresponds to the following alignment type:

0 - align on the top of the text box;
1 - align on the center of the text box;
2 - align on the bottom of the text box.

TopMargin

Specifies the distance between the text and the top of the text box.
In the Formulas mode, you see the data in tenths of millimeters, in the Values mode the data is displayed in the current unit of measure. This value doesn't depend on the scale of the document.

BottomMargin

Specifies the distance between the text and the bottom of the text box.
In the Formulas mode, you see the data in tenths of millimeters, in the Values mode the data is displayed in the current unit of measure. This value doesn't depend on the scale of the document.

LeftMargin

Specifies the distance between the text and the left side of the text box.
In the Formulas mode, you see the data in tenths of millimeters, in the Values mode the data is displayed in the current unit of measure. This value doesn't depend on the scale of the document.
Note that the actual distance between the text and the left side of the text box also includes the paragraph indentation (LeftInd field in the Paragraph Format section). For the first line of the paragraph, add the FirstInd field as well.

RightMargin

Specifies the distance between the text and the right side of the text box.
In the Formulas mode, you see the data in tenths of millimeters, in the Values mode the data is displayed in the current unit of measure. This value doesn't depend on the scale of the document.
Note that the actual distance between the text and the right side of the text box also includes the paragraph indentation (RightInd field in the Paragraph Format section).

TextBkgnd

Describes the text background color. The value corresponds to the number of the color in the color palette of the document. The value may vary from 0 to 255.

Note:  Alternatively, these parameters can be changed on the Text Block tab of the Format / Text Properties dialog.
