SAP is an Atari music player similar to SIDPlay for C64 SID tunes. It's a cycle based emulator with almost 100% POKEY chip emulation. At the time the player is fairly unoptimized, which leads to huge CPU power consumption. Anyway, the development is still in its beginning (the first version has been released in mid July 1999) so optimizations will speed up the emulation a lot.
