Getting started
Welcome to the LogoManager getting started guide!
Once you have installed LogoManager on your machine, the first thing you will need to do is to get
the software connected to the
phone. For this you will need either a cable
or a suitably configured infrared port.
- If you are using a cable, connect it to a free 9 pin serial port, then enter
the LogoManager configuration dialog to specify
the port you have selected and cable type. The installation tool can also
be used to automatically detect the best configuration for your cable.
- If you are using a more recent handset via infrared (IrDA), then it is likely that
you already have the needed IrDA drivers installed for your infrared port.
Simply select 'IrDA (Use drivers)' in the configuration dialog.
- If you have an older infrared-enabled phone such as the 6110, you will need to
refer to the help information on DirectIR
before proceeding.
Once you have configured the port, you should get the 'Connected' message in
the LogoManager status bar. If not, then please refer to the connection
troubleshooter for further help. There is also a list of frequently
asked questions.
