Copyright 1998-99 Peter Hercek CdSpeed - command line utility allowing you to set reading speed of your CDROM, it requires ASPI installed (you must install it into NT 4.0, Win95 and Win98 have it installed by default). Installing is done by copying somewhere where PATH variable is pointing. Uninstalling is simply removing the file. Try to run it with -h argument, try to run it without any argument. This product is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Known Bugs and Remarks I never used CdSpeed with SCSI CDROM drive (it should work, but one never know). Please, let me know whether it is working. If your WinNT 4.0 has not installed Service pack 4 or later then getSpeed command (g option) fails. Reset command is not working on WinNT, ASPI for Win32 does not implement this feature for WinNT. Reset command may not work on Win95/98 - ASPI Manager silently fails and CdSpeed aborts with timeout. I really dont know why it is good to have reset command... See Problems.txt for known configurations which seem not to work.
