Opera (32-bit) 5.0 is a fast, flexible, multi-window Web browser.
Opera has full support for all HTML elements and has a very flexible user interface which integrates Web browsing, searching, instant messaging, newsgroup access and e-mail. 

Opera's unique multi-window interface allows you to have multiple home pages, one for each window. You can even have bookmarks (or favorites) that open multiple pages. To speed up browsing, Opera gives you a great deal of control over how graphics are retrieved and displayed in each window. 

Other features include: a built-in e-mail client, support for 128-bit encryption, ECMAScript support, Javascript 1.3 support, SSL 3 support, XML support, XHTML support, HTTP 1.1 support, WML support, CSS1 and CSS2 style sheet support, a selection of Netscape-compatible plug-ins, and the ability to speed up surfing time with the real-time graphics on/off toggle. 

With Opera you can specify which cookies you'd like to receive, filter and display third-party cookies.

A search feature allows you to choose a number of search engines, including Google, Yahoo!, and HotBot, from within your browser. An integrated messaging client allows you to chat with ICQ users seamlessly. 

This version is not Java-enabled.
