Netscape Communicator (32-bit) [base install] is a full-featured Web browser and Internet communications suite.
Netscape Communicator includes Netscape Navigator, an excellent, full-featured "smart" Web browser. It offers smart browsing, roaming access, support for multiple address books, an integrated three-paned mail/news interface, and a scalable address book.

It also comes with several other integrated applications. Netscape Messenger is a powerful e-mail client and contact manager. And Netscape Composer is a flexible HTML and text editor. Netscape AOL Instant Messenger allows millions of Netscape and America Online users communicate in real time easily and efficiently. RealPlayer G2 plays streaming audio and video.

This "base install" includes Navigator, Messenger, Composer and AOL Instant Messenger but does not include the multimedia plugins.

This latest release is more stable and includes updated multimedia plug-ins, including RealPlayer 8, Flash Player, Beatnik, and AOL Instant Messenger 4.0.
