ASP-Edit comes equipped with a publishing tool which is ftp based, in order to use it properly you *must* have a username and password on the server where you want to publish your work on, if you are not sure about this contact your systems administrator or network administrator.
The
publishing tool only works when you registered ASP-Edit.
Fill in the servername (hostname), your username and password, click on
connect to make a connection to the server. NB. ASP-Edit remembers the
last session, if you publish to the same server you need not fill in the
server details.
As soon as the connection is established you can select the file(s) you
want to transfer to the server (hold down shift or ctrl for multiple
files), when selected click on the 
button to perform the actual transfer of the files, as soon as they are
transferred you can disconnect from the server and start testing your
work.
Directories will be shown bold and colored red so you can see the difference between directories and files.
The easy directory access selectionbox allows you to switch between
directories fast and efficient
