Any attempt to access the drives by the attached EXE when executed from the e-mail client environment will be blocked. A user may of course make the conscious and deliberate decision to accept an attachment and execute it. To accomplish this, the user must explicitly save the attachment to disk, and then execute that attachment from an environment other than the e-mail client. Examples: * A user gets an e-mail with a VBS attachment called ILOVEYOU.VBS. If the user opens the attachment from the e-mail environment, eTCIPE will detect an attempt to execute VBS from this environment and block the execution. The VBS will not execute and the user will get a message on the screen reporting that the execution was blocked. * A user gets an e-mail with an EXE file from a colleague. If the attached EXE is invoked from the e-mail client environment, the EXE will begin to execute and will be closely and automatically monitored by eTCIPE. If the EXE file that is executing from the e-mail client environment attempts to access any disk files for any reason, it will be blocked (execution will terminate). _______________________________________________________________________ Features / Functions _______________________________________________________________________ The features of Personal Edition are: 1.
