McAfee VirusScan for Windows 95/98 is an excellent virus protection, detection and removal system.
VirusScan provides complete protection from viruses. It can scan files, subdirectories, diskettes, or entire networks for viral infections. VirusScan can even protect against infection by viruses spread through e-mail or through files downloaded from the Internet, and can protect your computer against attack by malicious Java applets and ActiveX controls.

Features include: automatic scanning options, activity logs, protection prior to bootup, support for compressed files and compressed drives, a "ScreenScan" mode which operates while your computer is not in use, command line options, on-demand scanning of MAPI e-mail folders, the ability to create an emergency disk, the ability to password protection for many of VirusScan's functions, support for polymorphic and macro viruses, an Internet filter that lets you block access to specific undesirable sites, background scanning of e-mail, Internet content, and file downloads.
