HyperTerminal Private Edition (HTPE) is a more powerful version of the HyperTerminal dialing package that comes with Windows.
This version adds automatic re-dial of busy phone numbers; ZModem crash recovery for resuming interrupted file transfers; VT-220 support; and better support for foreign characters. It also includes a Telnet client that has file transfer capabilities, a scrollback buffer, key macros, and pass-through printing. The Telnet client can be used as the default Telnet application for Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

This newest version offers VT-220 emulation and fixes a few bugs found in previous versions.
