Amiglobe is a world atlas and database with information about every country 
in the world.

You can choose from four map projections including flat, Peter's, Mercator's
or spherical. You can easily zoom in on any area to display cities, rivers,
and main peaks. You can scroll around the map with keys, mouse and/or mouse
wheel. You can also quickly locate a city or country on the map using a drop
down list. The map can be printed or exported to other softwares. Some cities
have links on photos on the Web.

Amiglobe features a wealth of information about each country. The main
information screen displays a map of the country and the flag, and lets you
click a button to hear the national anthem play. It also displays general
information such as area, population, density, capital city, GNP, and GNP
per capita. You can click tabs to learn more about a country's geography,
history, people, government, economy, transportation, and military. All
these data can be printed or exported to an external word processor or
spreadsheet.

World Fact Book 1999, released in September 1999.
