Registrar Lite for Win95/98/2000/NT is a new
generation registry editor that comes with a basic set of tools that should make
your registry editing life a lot easier. It could be an excellent replacement for
RegEdit
which come shipped with Windows. It allows cutting, pasting, copying, and moving of keys and values as if it were
Windows Explorer. It has search and replace capabilities, a bookmark editor that
optionally colors bookmarked keys and adds key descriptions, flexible value editors that
allow importing data from files. Additionally, it allows importing and exporting of
.reg files.
System Requirements:
A PC running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0 and 2MB Free harddisk space. Also, version 4.70 or higher of COMCTL32.DLL should be installed on the system. Only older Windows versions with no Internet Explorer 3 or higher installed may have this problem. The program checks for this at startup and proposes to download a Microsoft distributed update if necessary.
System Security Warning:
Registrar Lite is a powerful tool. With the software it is possible to directly modify the Windows registry which is used for storing critical system and application data. Errors in the registry may result in a corrupt and non-working system. Extreme care and caution should be taken as always when working with the registry.
