LCC-Win32: a free compiler system for Windows by Jacob Navia Based on the original screenplay of Dave Hanson and Chris Fraser: A portable C compiler Dear friends: Here you can download the lcc-win32 C compiler system. The system is self contained: you do not need anything else to get started programming in C in the Win32 environment. You get 1) Code generator (compiler, assembler, linker, resource compiler, librarian) 2) Integrated development environment with editor, debugger, make file generation, resource editor, etc. 3) User manual (approx 180 pages, Microsoft Word format), and technical documentation (approx 200 pages, same format). All the binaries and the associated header files etc, are contained in a auto-installable executable that will create all the needed directory structure. Important: If you are interested in having the source of the compiler or in the programming examples (2MB) you can click in the link below to buy those for US$ 20 (e-mail distribution), or US$ 95 (CDROM distribution). In the CDROM distribution you will get: 1) The sources of the compiler and the associated makefile. 2) The sources of the lburg utility 3) The source of the linker 4) The source of the IDE+Debugger. 5) The source of the resource compiler and the resource editor 6) The examples and demos (2MB of windows sources) 7) The fortran compiler (binaries). In the e-mail distribution you will get the samples and the source code of the compiler only. If you want to adapt the lcc-win32 system to fit your company's needs, or adapt it to function as a back end for your favorite language, email: jacob@jacob.remcomp.fr -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The binaries in this distribution were updated on Nov 14th 1999 Enjoy! Free Downloads LCC-Win32 compiler system. (free: approx 2.4MB. Updated 08 Nov 99) Windows API documentation (13MB) LCC-Win32 users manual and technical documentation (free, approx 2MB) Updated with a common controls documentation. The technical doc has now an Epilogue. PLEASE download this if you are using the compiler. It will save you time and will save my time too. Microsoft Word Viewer to read the documentation if you do not have Word installed in your computer (4MB) Fortran compiler (750K) New lcc version with improved optimizer. Compiler only (165K zip file) Sources and CDROMs If you buy the compiler sources (US$95), or the samples distribution (US$20) you contribute to keep this project alive and free for all.
