What's new in the version 3.8 ?


úPossibility of the remote management  allows you to change the 
 User Time Period without a necessity to change user settings on 
 an user's computer yourself . The special utility generates the 
 cipher code , you send it via e-mail to the user , the user  has 
 to enter that code to the password window as the password , at last 
 Windows Security Officer changes the User Time Period itself without 
 your presence .

úNew feature : the tools menu . This menu appears in the context menu of 
 the icon "Eye" in the Tray Bar where Windows Security Officer minimizes . 
 It might be useful in causes when  an administrator wants to have access 
 to some programs when user's desktop is loaded . The user can't  use that 
 menu without  an administrator password . 

úNew restriction : Remove the Favorites Folder from the Start Menu

úNew restriction : Remove the Documents Folder from the Start Menu

úNew boot option : Require Validation by Network for Windows Access 
 By default Windows doesn't require a valid network username and password 
 combination for a user to create and use a local Windows machine. This functionality 
 can be change to require validation by the network.

úThe  Restriction of the User Time Period has  more options and is more flexible 
  to set different time restrictions .

úThe help file is more detail and comfortable . 

úIn the restriction "Hide drives" you can choose exactly what drive to hide .

úAlso some "bugs" were removed.


What was new in version 3.7 ?

úNow the interface is more comfortable. You can point the cursor of
the mouse to some menu item, check box, option and get a hint what
that is about.

úNew uninstaller. Now after un-installation all restrictions you
have setted will be removed.

úNow nobody can uninstall Windows Security Officer without administrator's
password (If you use registered copy).

úNew settings window for restricting the user's working time. The management
of user's settings is easer and more comfortable now.

úWhen you set restrictions for the user's working time - Windows Security Officer
controls and prevents a modification of the system time.

úYou can easy manage users : add new users and delete users that are no longer
needed.

úNew restriction "No Start Menu Context Menu" - this restriction is available
for Windows 98 only. When you click the right-mouse button on the Start Menu
you can get the context menu. Now you can prevent that.

úNew feature : Windows Spy. You can set the special windows list and
Windows Security Officer will prevent creating these windows on the user's
desktop.

úWhen you leave you working place on short time you can run screen saver
simple by clicking on the menu in the icon "Eye" in the Tray Bar.

úAlso some "bugs" were removed.
