You can see your HTML changes instantly! Choose the internal browser and enable Instant View on the Preview menu, open an HTML document, then arrange the windows to make your document and the browser visible at once. Now watch the Instant View browser update on each keystroke! If your page is large, this feature will slow down your system, so remember to turn it off when it's not being used. If you are using an external browser for preview, you should always close it before running Arachnophilia. This lets Arachnophilia initialize and control the browser during Preview. You can speed up your display and keyboard by turning off Automatic Tag Coloring -- press Ctrl+Shift+T. Then, when you need to see the tag colors, press Ctrl+T to manually color the tags. You can automatically convert a Rich Text Format file into a Web page. Just drop the RTF file icon onto the Arachnophilia main program window and Arachnophilia will ask to convert it. Or you can use File ... Open File ... RTF File to locate the file you want. You can easily access many commands by pressing the right mouse button, even when there is no open document. You can define 26 automatic commands or "macros" using Arachnophilia's macro editor. The commands are saved for you between sessions, and they can even be transferred to a different computer. Select Tools ... Toolbars/Macros ... Edit Keyboard Macros or press the toolbar button. You can easily load multiple files into Arachnophilia. Just select the files using Explorer and drop them onto the main Arachnophilia program window. Or, you can select multiple files using File ... Open. You can define your own custom commands and toolbars, or change those that come with Arachnophilia. Just choose Tools ... Toolbars/Macros ... Edit Toolbars. On the other hand, you can't avoid all risks, and scissors are rather low on the spectrum of risks -- probably below boredom, insurance salesmen and meteorites. The Arachnophilia Site Analyzer will examine your site in depth, finding links that go nowhere and resources that are not used. Choose Tools ... Analyze Site. Arachnophilia color-codes your HTML document's tags as you work, so they are easy to identify. If you make a trivial HTML error, it will show up in a special color so you can easily find and correct it. But if this feature runs too slowly on your computer, you can disable it using Ctrl+Shift+T. Arachnophilia's Power Undo/Redo feature automatically saves up to 32 copies of your work, so you can recover from mistakes and experiments. You can undo your most recent 32 actions, then you can redo those 32 actions if you want. On the other hand, if you work with multiple large documents, or if your computer has a small amount of memory or a small hard drive, you can disable this feature by switching off Tools .. Options ... Miscellaneous ... Enable Power Undo. When you press the Preview toolbar button, Arachnophilia refreshes your browser's display without having to reload it, thus saving time. This feature is compatible with most browsers. If your browser doesn't seem to refresh, just touch the browser title bar with the mouse cursor. Or use the internal browser for much better refresh speed. Arachnophilia can load any number of documents at once, and then it can search and replace the text within them globally. Just press the Find and Replace toolbar buttons to review these features. Arachnophilia has three right-click "context" menus -- which one you see depends on where you position the mouse cursor. If you click the toolbar area, you will see a menu that allows you to launch toolbars. If you click the empty main program window, you can create or open many document types. Just grab a corner of the toolbar with the mouse cursor and drag it where you want it to be -- to the bottom of the window, to a side, even floating in space if you prefer.
