You can choose from four map projections including flat, Peter's, Mercator's or spherical. You can easily zoom in on any area to display cities, rivers, and main peaks. You can use the arrow keys to scroll around the map. You can also quickly locate a city or country on the map using a drop down list. Amiglobe features a wealth of information about each country. The main information screen displays a map of the country and the flag, and lets you click a button to display the national anthem and hear it play. It also displays general information such as area, population, density, capital city, GNP, and GNP per capita. You can click tabs to learn more about a country's geography, history, people, government, economy, transportation, and military. You can print the map, save it as a BMP or GIF file, or copy it to the Clipboard to use in another application. Amiglobe 99 is based on data in the C.I.A. World Fact Book 1998, released January 1999. This updated version includes more details on the map, searchable text data, lyrics for national anthems, and distance and area measurements in both kilometers and miles. It also lets you print the map, save it as a BMP or GIF file, or copy it to the Clipboard. More information: Amiglobe Home Page http://www.amiglobe.com Author: Olivier Collard
