Description: PKZIP compresses files an average of 50%-70%, with many large text and database files compressing well over 90%. PKZIP for Windows also has the ability to create self-extracting .exe files. Other zipping features include the ability to create UUencoded files, to span multiple disks when creating large .zip or .exe files, to run an executable file from within PKZIP, to add files from multiple directories, to list file support, and to choose from five levels of compression. Unzipping capabilities include the ability to view and extract from TAR, GZIP, BinHex, MIME, UUencoded and XXencoded files, to unzip by file size, date, name or type, and to automatically execute a 32-bit CRC.
