-
Start Net Vampire.
-
Select Options/Network in the main menu and type your e-mail address in the
E-Mail Address field. It will be used as a password during anonymous logins to
FTP servers. In most cases it is just a matter of courtesy to provide your
real e-mail address to the server, but some servers will not allow you
to login if the e-mail address is wrong.
-
If you are using a proxy to connect to the Internet, click on the
Proxies tab and add all proxies you are planning to use to the Proxy List.
Select default proxies for FTP, HTTP and Gopher protocols.
-
If you are connecting to the Internet using a dial-up connection, click
on the Dial-Up tab, enable the Dial-Up When Necessary option and input
your dial-up settings. Set the number of retries and the pause between
the dial-up attempts depending on the reliability of your modem connection.
-
To enable integration with your browser, check the
Input / Monitor Browser Clicks option in the Main Menu.
-
OK, it's time to download something. Open a web page or an FTP
directory in your browser, then drag and drop a link to the Net Vampire
Drop Basket. Alternatively, hold the Alt key and click on the link - the
Net Vampire Add Job dialog will open with the Location field pre-filled with the URL.
Click the Start button to add and run the Job.
