Add and Drop Dialog Box Options

The Add and Drop dialog boxes include these options:
- The Action drop down list provides four choices: Add,
Freshen, Move, and Update. The Add option causes EasyZip
to add all specified files to the archive. The Freshen
option causes EasyZip to update files already in the
archive that match the specified files. The Update option
is the same as Freshen, but adds any specified files that
are not already in the archive. The Move option works the
same as Add, except that once the specified files have
been added to the archive they are deleted from disk.
- The Compression drop down list determines the compression
method. Faster compression options usually result in
larger archives.
- The Multiple disk spanning drop down list controls how
EasyZip handles disk-full conditions while creating a new
Zip file. You can select from one of three available
values:
Automatic will automatically prompt for another diskette
when the diskette on which you are creating a Zip file is
full.
Custum allows you to select custum volume sizes (it is
useful if you want first to create those archive on disk
and then copy them to disketes). Max volume size
indicates the size in bytes of those volumes.
No Spanning results in a “disk full” error
message if the size of the Zip file exceeds the space
available on the removable diskette.
- The Save extra folder info causes EasyZip to store any
folder path information specified in the Add files edit
field.
- The Password button will password protect (encrypt) the
file(s) you are adding.
- The "Select group" button will allow you to set
what files you want to add (for exapmple *.mp3). The when
you type those informatio EasyZip will select those files
in the Add file list. Also after all, you can manualy
select and deselect those files.
- The Include system and hidden files option causes EasyZip
to add files with the system and hidden attributes.
Normally files with these attributes are included.
