The title bar is the horizontal bar across the top of
IrfanView. It displays (of course) the title of the
viewer. When an image (or other file) is loaded, it
also displays the name of the image, followed by (where
appropriate) its size and density (8 bit, 24 bit, etc.)
Click the small IrfanView logo in the upper left corner
for the standard Windows control box: this allows you to
Move, Minimize, or Close the viewer.
In the upper right corner are three more controls. The
farthest to the right, with an X in its center, will
close the viewer. The next box is greyed out to show
that it is not used. The third, with the underline (_)
character, will minimize the viewer to the Windows
task bar. Click the IrfanView button on the task bar
to restore the viewer to use.
Point the mouse at the center area of the title bar,
the part that's blue. Hold down the left button, and
you can drag the viewer around the screen, and leave
it where you like. This is useful to put it in a
location that allows you to see something else on
the screen, such as another image. Release the mouse
button to leave the viewer at its new location.
