Welcome to PhotoAlb
Photoalb is a virtual photo-album program for Microsoft Windows 95/98. It allows you to
collate a set of pictures stored on your hard disk or CD-ROM, into a virtual photo-album
which you can browse. It is written by Richard Scullion who can be reached by E-Mail at RScullion@Kagi.com. The PhotoAlb webpage can be found

In addition to browsing, the following functions are also available:
- Slideshow - manual or automatic, with support for MIDI music.
- Printing - an index, or a WYSIWYG copy of the virtual album..
- Re-ordering - Easily sort the pictures into the order you prefer.
- View Full-screen - You can view the photos actual size or scale them to fit the screen.
Hardware accelerated Anti-Aliasing is available to remove pixelisation.
- Comments - You can add unlimited comments to each photo, and have the first line appear
under the photo with a drop-down box for easy editing.
- Its own Screen Saver to display your Albums.
- Touch Up - A lighting utility to adjust the Brightness, Contrast, and Colours of your
photos using a special preview based interface.
- Allows launching of albums direct from windows explorer..
- TWAIN support - Use Scanners, Digital Cameras, Video Capture devices and many other
peripherals to capture images directly into PhotoAlb.
- Browse the images on your hard disk by viewing directories as albums.
- Database functions - Create field templates for your albums to aid the association of
data with each picture. The data can then be browsed or searched.
- Crop Wizard - Remove parts of the photo that you don't want quickly and easily. Photos
can also be resized to remove evidence of cropping.
- Resize Function - Resize your photos, with or without anti-aliasing.
- Supports many file formats including: BMP, JPG, GIF, EMF, RLE, ICO and WMF.
- Many other functions.
The Library
PhotoAlb is shareware. This means that you may try it free for 30 days after which time
you must register it. There are also some limits on the shareware version. For more
information please see Registration. PhotoAlb can be un-installed
by selecting Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel.

1998. The shareware version may be freely distributed as long as the ZIP file is not
modified in any way. The registered version and the registration code may not be
distributed unless permission is given in writing by the author, Richard
Scullion. Richard Scullion can not be held responsible for any problems resulting from the
use or misuse of this program.
