Uninstall
Since there are two WinJar version, uninstall has two versions.
Manual Uninstall
- Remove WinJar registry keys with regedit (or any other registry
editor).
- The keys that are used are:
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.j (if associated)
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jar (if associated)
- HKEY_CLASSES_USER\WinJar (if associated)
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinJar
- Remove the program.
Software Uninstall
- From the Control Panel, choose Add/Remove Programs and then
choose WinJar 2.0. This should remove WinJar 2.0 completely.
- Registry entries used, in case something went wrong while
uninstalling and you want to uninstall things manually: the same
as Manual Version (see above), but please make sure you remove
the following entry:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\rj 1997
- Some information is saved by the installation program, so
uninstallation should go through in normal Windows 9x/NT way.
If the previous way of uninstall fails, then you can do it
the manual version way.
NB: Be careful when using Regedit! It's possible to ruin your
system in a matter of seconds...
