The National Technical Museum offers the following exhibitions to museums, galleries and/or cultural institutions in the Czech Republic as well as abroad:


Karel Smirous - colour photographs from screen diapositives from the years 1908 - 1955.
194 colour photographs of various scenes - landscape, portrait, still life, flowers, nudes, folk costumes - copied from colour blow-ups of screen diapositives on a top-quality material Cibachrome introduce the still not fully appreciated personality of the Czech photography KAREL SMIROUS (1890-1981). He was a pioneer in the field of colour photography who crowned his work with three Czechoslovak patents and whose contribution to development of colour photography was awarded with the golden medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937.

A show-case of the area 4 m2 is required for three- dimensional objects (photographic cameras, expedients, types of colour screen photographic materials).

The scope of the whole exhibition is about 125 running metres..
The exhibition is transported in wooden cases of the dimensions:
1 piece 76x74x114 cm
6 pieces 57x71x107 cm
5 pieces 41x82x115 cm
Weight including packaging material is about 900 kg.
A comprehensive catalogue has been issued to the exhibition with 116 prints and Czech/English text.


Beautiful times - snapshot photographer Rudolf Bruner-Dvorak
In 200 pictures (predominantly contact copies from original glass negatives) the exhibition shows a survey of the work of Rudolf Bruner-Dvorak who belonged to the most famous photographers in the Czech lands at the turn of 19th and 20th centuries. He was a pioneer of the Czech reportage photography. Thanks to a wide thematic range of his work (technique, sports, social life) and also to the fact that he was a personal photographer of the successor to the Austrian throne Franz Ferdinand d'Este, the exhibited collection represents a unique view of the life style and times at the turn of the century that is usually named "belle epoque".

The exhibition is usually installed on the area of 200 m2 but it can be modified for any space. A show-case is required for three-dimensional exhibits.

The exhibition is transported in four wooden cases of the dimensions:
76x115x59cm

A book monography with Czech text and summary in German and English, and Photo CD-ROM have been issued for the exhibition.


Architect Josef Zitek
Archirect Josef Zitek is considered a founder of the Czech modern architecture although his work still shows typical features of historism. He is, besides other buildings, the author of National Theatre in Prague, Mlynska colonnade in Karlovy Vary and co-author of Rudolfinum in Prague. His buildings make a significant contribution to the present appearance of Prague. The exhibition, that shows a life-long work of Josef Zitek, introduces him as an outstanding teacher and conservationist that gained recognition for saving numerous Prague historical monuments at the turn of century. The exhibition of original plans, designs, drawings and sketches fixed in 45 frames of the dimensions 70x100 cm can be borrowed only on meeting special conditions during exhibition (max. 60 lux) and during transport. (A professional firm for transporting exhibitions is required).
A monography with Czech/German text has been published for the exhibition.


General conditions of lending:
The National Technical Museum lends its exhibitions free of charge, which means that it requires no exhibition fee. The exhibitor shall ensure the insurance of the exhibition at his own expenses, pay transport of the exhibition, accommodation of the staff that installs the exhibition and of the director of the National Technical Museum or his authorized deputy who opens the exhibition.
