Frantisek Crhak

Frantisek Crhak (1926) studied at the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Architecture at J.Kroha, B.Fuchs, J.Rozehnal and V.Makovsky in 1946-1950. Since 1953 he was a professor at the School of Arts in Uherske Hradiste where he taught artistic-technical subjects. Together with Z.Kovar he moved to Gottwaldov and introduced training from so-called artistic geometry as a part of basic education of students. Since the 60s, he has designed several products for Tesla and helped in creating the firm's image. He proposed shape and colour design of sport aeroplanes with lying engine type Z-42, Z-43. In cooperation with Z.Kovar he designed a kit of the street fluorescent lamp, poles for street lighting, etc. for Elektrosvit Nove Zamky.
